Hello,
You can reuse the old index by re-using the client id ( check the client
attribute and copy it), delete the old client definition.
while creating new client , specify the new name ( apply the client id in
client id field) and networker will prompt you if you want to rename the
client -say "Yes", you should not delete the index for the old client
during this process.

Subject
[Networker] Index merging
Hi All,
Networker v 7.4, windows based
Recently we have purchased a new server for our Exchange and along with
it changed the name of our exchange server.
I was told that before I start backing up the new server I need to merge
the indexes of the old client with the new client in case I need to do a
restore of the old client
1. How do I accomplish this task?
2. Are there any alternative methods to achieve this?
Thanks in advance
