We are running Networker 7.3.3 on Solaris 2.8 and are seeing our Group
Parallelism misbehaving. We have 10 SDLT drives with the device target
setting of 4. If we have a group setup with a parallelism of 8, only two
drives should be used. Some of our groups are busting past the group
setting and taking more drives than they should. My understanding of
group parallelism is that no matter what your client parallelism is set
to, if the group is set to something other than 0, it will override the
client parallelism. EMC has reviewed this with us, and recognizes it is a
problem, but no solutions as of yet. Any thoughts from the Networker
list?

Thanks,

Keith
