Hello,
So did you have the "Picker" arm inspected, sometime it can jam and not
grab the tapes correctly, throwing off Networker, you should pursue a fix
for this, as it's going to come back time and time again.
Also, i typically use nsrjb -HEvvv to reset the library in this type of
situations followed by inventory.

[Networker] Library errors

Here is another incident with the DRIVE_STATUS_NEED_INIT error that was
resolved without anything too drastic. Running Networker 7.1.2 on Solaris
9 with an IBM 3583L72 library.

The incident began during scheduled backups on a Sunday. By the time
intervention began on Monday, Networker was requesting manual loading of
several tapes required for pending saves. The needed tapes were in the
library, but Networker failed to load them. The tape library LCD reported
SAC: 7300 Code: 0x9102. This is a "picker failure." Based on prior
experience, power cycled the library. Networker recovered control of 3 of
the 4 drives and finished the backups. Networker flagged the fourth
drive, 3cbn, in service mode. Monday night's backups succeeded.

On Tuesday, to resolve the state of drive 3cbn, unmounted all the other
drives in nwadmin. Found tape #533 in 3cbn. This tape belongs in slot
25, but tape #395 was in slot 25, and slot 2 was empty. Much trial and
error failed to get Networker back into a consistent state. Based on what
finally worked, recommend this procedure for a similar situation:

   1. Use the tape library panel to move the tapes back into their correct
slots
   2. Run the command
          * nsrjb -H
   3. In nwadmin, correct Networker's inventory by inventorying the
affected slots
