I have some AIX clients at version 5.5.1 backup up against a 7.4.1 server,
and they backup nicely.
So dont think you have anything to worry about

[Networker] Networker 7.4 SP1 client compatibility
Does anyone know what client versions are supported by 7.4 Sp1. I have
some concerns because we have some really old clients running Networker
6.x and earlier and the powers that be want to upgrade to 7.4 Sp1. (No
the clients can't be upgraded.)
