I was told that the .NSF files are live databases and would need an agent. 
They are currently being backed up with Arcserve. so maybe it is 
different? Would I maybe need an Open File enabler? When I look on EMC's 
site it is really hard to find information on this and the versions they 
are talking about seem old, unless they are not referring to Notes but the 
client itself. Lotus Notes 3.0?

I do. My Notes mail server is a dedicated storage node (adv_file), so we 
backup to disk, and then automatically clone from there. Works well, if a 
bit slowly. Don't think we needed to do anything special (it was in place 
when I started here, 6 months back). It should just be a regular client 
license (and storage node license, in our case).
