Re: [Networker] Networker Server Rename

There is/was an official Legato technical bulletin on how to rename a
Networker server. For what it's worth, this is the old url (no longer
functional)
http://www.legato.com/support/websupport/tech_bulletins/index.htm?includ
efile=396.html
So, I tried to do a quick search on powerlink, and couldn't find this
document. Not sure if it applies to 7.3 and 7.4 anyway, but I do know
that it applies to 7.1 and 7.2
Maybe someone has an old copy - I'm missing pages 1-3, I have pages 4-8
here on my desk.

Subject: [Networker] Networker Server Rename
The server was operational, but I needed to rename the server. After
that I could not connect with the management console. I removed and
reinstalled the management console which allowed me to see my
configuration again, but I cannot run backups for any groups including
the default group that the server belongs to. The clients are configured
to accept backups from any networker server and resolve using DNS.
