Not that I can think of, those operations would be happening after the
snapshotting took place. With Powersnap, it basically is going to split the
BCV or snapshot, mount it to the mount host, then either index it and unmount,
or backup from there to tape. The encryption would take place when the data
started being written to tape.
Same thing with snapimage I believe, you would using something like Replication
manager to split and mount it on the mount host. Then it would just call the
save command to backup that mount point, just a normal backup from that point.

So powersnap can be used with a HP EVA. I did not know this and thought that
powersnap was just for use with EMC disk.

The storage system is HP EVA. I will look at use of SnapImage to backup these
two disks.
The EVA has snapshot capability which will allow us to mount the snapshot onto
the backup server and backup the disks but we will still have the problem of a
long backup due to many files and also the backup is then associated with the
networker server index rather than client index.

win2003 server. I know that with netbackup i could look at flashsnap backup. Is
