Hi,

we have a branch with two servers one with a local attached tape drive.
The connection between the main location and the branch is rather small
(2 Mbit/s) so backing up the data (500 GB) over the internet doesnt seem
suitable.

So there are from my point of view two options for backing up
the data with networker:

1. A separate networker installation in the branch
2. Using the server with the tape drive as storage node

The first option is more flexible at the cost of more administration.

The second option integrates in the current environment. My concern when
using a storage node is: what happens with the index data if the
connection between the storage node (in the branch) and the networker
server (at the main location) disconnects?


Or are there more options?
