I am still running Networker 6.1.4 Clustered on Tru64 Unix 4.0G
TruCluster 1.6, it backs up to a 30 slot LTO2 library connected via 1Gb
Fibre Channel. Doing live incremental database backups every day, and a
variety of Unix and Windows client backups. Once I got an issue with the
cluster installation out of the way (thanks to this list and Thierry) it
just worked, and continues to work to this day with very little change
about 4 years on.

This install has been running Networker since ver 5.5.1.

I will have to upgrade when my customer site wants new Unix servers, but
until then I am leaving well alone!
I have also got a version of 7.1 on a Tru64 Unix 5.1B system, backing up
to standalone SDLT drives. That works fine too, but I am not asking very
much of it.

If I don't need the new features/bugs etc. I don't upgrade it. If a new
version has a patch to fix a fault I am suffering, I upgrade, but so far
no need and I don't like what I hear about the new versions on this
list!

Regards,

Howard Anderson.

It was so dark someone here at the time mentioned "ArcServe". You know
it's pretty bad if someone wants to go there. Legato got it right in
6.1.

Thanks,

Dana
