You need to put the VSS incantation in your clients IF you are licensed
at all for VSS... Perhaps this behaviour has only occurred now because
you are running on eval on the new host?

No, I did not have "VSS:*=off" in the Save Operations field. I suppose
I need to put it in all of the client records. Fortunately that's only
about 20 clients. Matthew Huff's reply indicated it's a Windows 2003
thing and the old server was on Windows 2K and the Networker version was
actually 7.2.1 so maybe that's why I didn't have any problems up to now.
Thanks for the quick answers from Tim, Matthew & Todd.

You don't mention if you have

        VSS:*=off

in the "Save operations" field for any of these clients. Do you?
