I believe the point is you can still do "soft" WWN zoning and replace a drive 
without having to change your zoning.

You will have to do hard zoning then.. ie. Zoning based on switch ports
rather than WWNs.. WWNs are like Mac-IDs.. They are burnt in to the
card.

Dynamic World Wide Naming allows a tape drive to be replaced without
having to rezone the SAN.
