Nothing was said in the original message on this topic about which NetWorker server version is in use. The way EMC licenses NDMP backup ability for NetWorker changed in NetWorker 7.4. Bottom line: Its best to contact EMC's licensing group to get an authoritative answer on this question and any other question about how EMC charges for extra NetWorker features.

I have a cluster and I need two ndmp client licenses per head. It is a
cluster for local failover but still two separate heads.

Hello,

I'm having a hard time figuring out if I need one NDMP license or to for a FAS3040 cluster. The document says 1 per datamover, but netapp says I
should only need one.

Can someone who has a NetApp clustered device clarify for me please?

Thanks!

Joel
