Rob,

Use "NSR_AVOID_ARCHIVE=yes" as an environment variable on the client to
have the archive-bit remain intact.

The machine needs to be rebooted for this variable to take effect. It
puzzles me though since this is an NSR variable and normally a bouncing
of NetWorker services should suffice, but I've been told a reboot is
required.

HTH,

Soroush

Subject: [Networker] Archive bit

I know we've had discussions about this in the past, but couldn't find
anything that specifically answered my question.

I have a directory server that I need to backup without changing the
archive bit.

How can I force Networker to not modify the archive bit for this
specific client?

Thanks,

Rob
