We have a scenario in which we would like to have a storage node running Linux backing up to a SAN disk, and then unmounting that SAN disk and attaching it to our Sun server for staging to tape or some other media pool. One of the biggest issues with this scenario is the seeming lack of compatible filesystems between Solaris (10) and Linux. Has anyone done something similar and what was it that
you did?

I recently set up a Red Hat AS 4 server as a NetWorker Storage Node with our NetWorker server running Solaris 9. I just did a "jbconfig - s servername" on the Linux box and it worked fine. I am using NetWorker 7.4.
