On 7.2 you could use NWADMIN, and simply edit the autochanger, and
remove the affected tape from "loaded volumes" "loaded barcodes" and
"loaded slots".

Once that was done, you could reset using nsrjb -H, or sometimes just
doing a simple inventory (using the drive that had the hung tape) would
clear it up.

If you still have a 7.2 machine around (remember clients still have
nwadmin installed) - this would work even on a 7.3.2 machine, although
not "approved use" by EMC.

Not sure how to do this on 7.3.2 NMC.

Subject: [Networker] drive loaded and the drive status is `not occupied'

Hope someone can help me with this one, here is my config first

Networker 7.32 on windows
STK SL8500 library with 22 LTO drives
mounts and dismounts are controlled by the mainframe.
We connect via libattach to libstation ( this is ACSLS for mainframe)

here is the issue:
in legato we try to unmount a tape that is bad and is stuck in the
drive, that process fails, on the mainframe side the operators run an
eject command to the drive and are able to remove the tape, at this
point legato belives that the tape is still in the drive.
In my case i need it to restart the legato services, as soon as i did
that here is the error
Invalid update on jukebox - slot 59 is loaded in drive '0,2,1,3', drive
status is not occupied.the library on reboot disables itself

after many hours with legato tech the final solution was to run a
jbconfig, has anyone else had a similar issue? is there a way via
nsradmin to tell legato that the drive is empty and force an update of
it's database?

any help would be appriciated
this is the second time in 2 months i had to do this
