Hello,
Thanks for the recommendation, i had already implemented those from my
prior experience, as a matter of fact, i would go even higher on the
timers just to be sure they wont become an issue.
The current issue is that after VTL is in use for a little while, the
slots do not match the barcode and barcodes gets out of sequence.
Does any one have any suggestions on Auto inventory & other jukebox
features that might help, also would verify at unload ( at the VTL
jukebox) help ?
The only recommendation we got so far is do a cron job auto inventory
every 15 minutes, which is unacceptable , NetApp may be pointing finger's
at EMC, we are at 7.3.2 on Windows, they are saying that the out of
sequence barcodes might be happening regardless of VTL vendor , hence
Networker is at fault.
Does any one has seen this behavior, what version of Networker are you
using, which VTL, resolutions etc ?
What about Networker version 7.3.2 or 7.4 , do you think it may be
resolved with upgrading ?
How do i troubleshoot what exactly is networker doing when it's making
this tapes out of sequence ? i already have extra debugging enabled at
group level.
Thanks
