Problem has been solved. After watching the daemon.log file, I noticed "Jukebox 'top' failed: No such file or directory" messages appearing after a save was started (the jukebox with the tapes needed for the backup is named "bottom"). I deleted and then recreated jukebox "top" and now tapes automatically mount as they should on jukebox "bottom." Very strange, but the problem is fixed, so I'm happy.

I recently had some problems with a tape device, and after switching to another device and then eventually back again, networker is no longer automatically mounting available volumes from a tape jukebox.

It is really strange, because the "Waiting for 1 writable volumes" has the correct pool name, and the volumes are listed as belonging to that pool, and are shown as being available to the jukebox in question. If I issue a mount command, the backup happily uses the labeled volume, but otherwise just sits there asking for a writable volume. The media database *knows* there are writable volumes available on the device, but no longer
automatically mounts them.

I'm sure I must have changed something obvious, but I just cannot figure out what it is. Any suggestions?
