Problem has been solved. After watching the daemon.log file, I noticed
"Jukebox 'top' failed: No such file or directory" messages appearing
after a save was started (the jukebox with the tapes needed for the
backup is named "bottom"). I deleted and then recreated jukebox "top"
and now tapes automatically mount as they should on jukebox "bottom."
Very strange, but the problem is fixed, so I'm happy.
