I'm assuming that you verified the scsi ID of the new tapedrive both on
the server and in Networker? How many tape devices, how are they
connected and type of Networker server?

Can you do any type of scanner or mt commands on the drive at all?

jukebox

I recently had some problems with a tape device, and after switching to
another device and then eventually back again, networker is no longer
automatically mounting available volumes from a tape jukebox.

It is really strange, because the "Waiting for 1 writable volumes" has
the correct pool name, and the volumes are listed as belonging to that
pool, and are shown as being available to the jukebox in question. If I
issue a mount command, the backup happily uses the labeled volume, but
otherwise just sits there asking for a writable volume.
The media database *knows* there are writable volumes available on the
device, but no longer automatically mounts them.

I'm sure I must have changed something obvious, but I just cannot figure
out what it is. Any suggestions?
