For what it's worth, that sounds like someone modifying this setting via
nsradmin and using the wrong terminology - either wording or getting the case
of some letters wrong. Generally seen for disabled drives where they have
enabled: yes instead of Yes ;)
Cheers,
Stuart.

UPDATE:
The issue was solved by setting "Recycle to/from other pools" to "No",
applying, then setting back to "Yes" and applying again.

As a test, I created a new pool with recycle to/from set to "yes" and tried
to save to it. NetWorker took a recyclable volume from another pool and
relabled it to this new pool.
However, for existing pools, it still doesn't work.

Are you actually out of available volumes in the other pool? If not, tape
preference for backups is *something* along the lines of:
if device sessions < target sessions
loaded appendable tape
else
appendable tape
recyclable tape from same pool
new tape?
recyclable tape from other pool
with tons of other considerations for where the tape is, available drives,
available volumes, read-only drives etc. It can take a lot of CPU to
figure out which tape to direct savesets to :)
Cheers,
Stuart.

Hello.
Networker 7.1.3 (yes, very old, I know) on HP-UX 11.11
All pools have "Recycle to Other Pools" and "Recycle From Other Pools" set
to "Yes". No pool has any device restrictions.
There are plenty of recyclable tapes in the library, yet tapes only recycle
within the same pool. Recycling to other pools is not happening. That is,
if pool A has 20 recyclable tapes, and pool B has no tapes at all, tapes
from pool A will recycle within pool A, but not to pool B.
Please help.
