I've got several "old" servers that are running just for historical
restores. Since restores are few and far between at this point, the
space and power requirements seem silly, and it's hard to maintain the
old tape equipment that's spread over all the servers.

I'm thinking about copying /nsr from each server to a network drive,
then just leaving one machine in place. I'd be able to mount it up and
link /nsr to the correct directory, then launch Networker to access and
perform restorations.

Has anyone done this? My first concern is that the remaining hardware
won't appear to be licensed when I activate the "foreign" environments.
Right now I'm just assuming I'll ignore that, thinking that I can insert
a tape by hand and still do restores without a valid license.

Just kind of wondering what other gotchas I'd need to think about.

Thanks!
