a quick RTFM question. I am currently 'R'ing TFM, but I can't find in the DR
manual(or any other) how to go about backing up the database and indexes on
the NetWorker server itself.

Look at the man page for savegrp, specifically the -O option.  It backs
up the client indexes and does a bootstrap.  If your backup server is in
its own group, something like

        savegrp -l full -O "group name here"

will do what you want.  The bootstrap is the critical part.
