I use 'mminfo' to allow traditional clients to test
whether they are being backed up from scripts. E.g.:

pc012939# SERVER=stiles
pc012939# /usr/sbin/mminfo -s $SERVER -qclient=`hostname` - q'savetime>7 days ago'
volume client date size level name

000081L3 pc012939 08/09/2007 4 B incr /export/diska
pc012939#

We also have some NetApp filers which are backed up over
NDMP, but these do not appear in the output from mminfo, even
when *all* '-q' filtering is removed and I just grep the list:

pc012939# /usr/sbin/mminfo -s $SERVER | grep -i filer
pc012939#

(all out filers contain 'filer' in their names).

But when I used 'nwrecover' to browse what is recoverable
(Change -> Client -> Update Client List), then savesets are
listed there.

On the client side, we are using Legato 7.3 and on the server
it's 7.2.

What do you get from "mminfo -v -c ..."?

How are your NDMP backups set up?
