We're running nw_7_3_2_jumbo.Build.11 on Solaris 10.

If I create two 750GB adv_file disk device volumes and put them into the same pool, is there a way to tell networker to distribute savesets equally between these two volumes? At present, the first volume is 80% used (as reported by "df -k"), while the second is less than 1% full. I know I could have created a 1500GB volume instead of two smaller 750GB volumes, but that solution doesn't scale as well.

The "Target Sessions" parameter is set to "4" on both devices; however, the usage pattern is such that there will rarely be more than 4 savesets being written at a time. I could reduce the target sessions for the first device until the second one is equally full, but that's an awkward way to control usage over time.

If an "even distribution policy" isn't possible, can I instead configure a "spillover policy", where it stops writing to the first volume once it reaches a certain usage level?

I took a look at the staging policy, and there are lots of knobs I can tweak, but I don't think that there's anything that will let me achieve the desired effect.

There is no ideal solution here, but I would start by reducing target sessions to 1 on both devices.
