Hey Ron,

Just had a look at one of our backup environments, we are running
Solaris 2.6 clients at 7.0.Build.322 - its Suns StorEdge Enterprise
Backup (so not sure if the build numbers are the same as NetWorker)

I recently upgraded our NetWorker environment from 7.1.3 to 7.3.2, only
to discover that a Sun NIS server in our Engineering group is still at
Solaris 6 running NetWorker client 4.2.5. Apparently, the client will
not connect to a 7.3.2 server, because it just gets Permission Denied
now. The Engineering group is trying to get off of their Sun systems and
doesn't want to risk upgrading the OS on this box (inexplicably, it is
also a workstation-class machine).

Does anyone know what the newest NetWorker client is that is compatible
with Solaris 6? I assume it will be some 6.x client. I haven't had any
luck locating this information on PowerLink or the web.

Thanks,

Ron Benton
