Hi,
 
Davina Treiber was right, as usual :o)
 
It seems the trick to this is to delete the offending entries in the
media db then run the 'reclaim space' operation from the 'staging'
section in NetWorker GUI (or nsrstage -C from the command line).  I
guess previous reclaim operations didn't pick these files up because
they still had entries in the media db.
