Honestly, if it all possible use Fiber channel HBA and a fiber channel
robotics/fiber channel tape drives. It will save your sanity.

I would recommend finding out which SCSI cards are compatible with the
library that you intend using. Usually each library will have a list of
compatible or recommended scsi cards. Then choose one of the cards
according to your requirements for number of scsi ports and server pci
architecture.
