Re: [Networker] 7.3.2 level of stability as of June 2007?

I heartily concur. I upgraded to 7.3.2 JumboUpdate1 (build 368) on May
30. On May 31, I upgraded again to build 399 (only on the solaris
server this time) and I have not had a single day where I was not
talking with EMC about something not being quite right since. I still
have three open service requests and I'm told that 7.3.2 JumboUpdate2 is
almost out the door (for the second time) and that 7.4 will be out real
soon now...
If I didn't need the LTO-4 support that 7.3.2JumboUpdate1 gave me, I
would be looking for a way to go back.

I am also sitting on the fence regarding the upgrade from v7.2.2 (jumbo patch)
to v7.3.x. We just upgraded our Red Hat kernel from ES3 to ES4 and due to this,
I am having some issues on sluggish response time on nsrjb commands (both
command line and GUI), but other than, we are very stable, server and clients
are still happy talking to each other.
It's almost summer, unless there is an urgent need to upgrade your backup server and end up spending your summer time fixing it, don't upgrade yet. Leave it as is, so that other backup admin/operators still can manage your backups while you are away for a week or 2 on camping or fishing :)

Hi list,
I've read through the postings but haven't seen anything real recently
about the stability of 7.3.2 as of 6/2007. It looks like Jumbo Update 1
came out not too long ago, according to PowerLink, so I'm wondering if this
(7.3.2, with Jumbo Update 1 applied) is finally a stable version to which I
could consider upgrading.
Currently I'm enjoying a generally hassle-free administration task of a
NetWorker 7.2.1 (Solaris) server and over 400 Win32, Win64 and various Unix
clients of over 25 TB per week, so I'm not in a huge hurry to update ...
