Hi all,

Just looking at upgrading to 7.3.2 on Solaris. A couple of questions is
7.3.2 compatible with older client software 7.0 and 6?, or do I have to
upgrade my clients to 7.3.2 beforehand.

I'm not sure about the version 6 clients, but the version 7.x clients are working fine here. I don't think we have any version 6 clients left.

Is using nwadmin from a 7.0 installation a supported option when
connecting to a 7.3.2 installation?, any other issues when upgrading,
I'm backing up both unix and windows clients.

I have heard that there are folks using nwadmin from previous versions, I'm using NMC here (and it works most of the time).

I was informed by support just this past weekend that 7.3.2 uses the parallelism setting of the nsrserverhost client definition when writing indexes.... so, if like me you had that set at 1 in the past and got away with it, you will need to increase it. Support suggested at least as great as the number of clients in your largest save group.
