Looks logic to me if the Anti virus in hung that Networker
to also be hung : Anti Virus Sw is bellow than networker in the IO
Stack.

In other words, Networker is opening files on disk using normal
system calls such fopen() but anti virus software is intercepting
the fopen() to verify file is safe from virus.

If the fopen() nerver finishes because Anti Virus SW got problem,
Networker just waits for the system call return. 
As it never comes back, it also looks like hung.

Which AV SW do you have ?

I was wondering if anybody has ever ran across this. I have some 
savegroups hanging on certain clients. I've been able to pin it down
that 
anti-virus is probable the cause as it is hung-up as well. A re-boot 
usally fixes the issue but sometimes only for a day or so. Does anybody 
know what might be causing anti-virus to hang up. Once Anti-Virus is
hung 
NetWorker will be hung as well. These are windows clients running 7.2.2 
NetWorker.
