Hi,
you do *not* need to backup your database after a restart
(even if it was shut down with 'shutdown abort' or 'startup force').
You should always take a full backup when changing something (i.e.
adding a tablespace, a datafile, open the database with 'resetlogs').
If you recovery your database you should take a full backup afterwards.
If you did an incomplete recovery (i.e. until sequence or time) see
point 1 - you have to to an 'open resetlogs' in that case - so you need
to backup your database.
