We recently teamed two Network Cards on our Windows 2000 Networker 7.3.2
master server that performs IP based NDMP backups of the Celerra NAS
filesystems. We have always scored relatively fast speeds prior to doing
this.
Almost immediately we experienced very slow NDMP backups. On our GigE
network the teamed NIC’s perform at around 450MB/s which seems pretty darn
good. We have LTO-3’s in the tape library. I have the network team
looking at NAS IP port utilization, but outside of that we are not sure
where the bottleneck lies.

Thoughts?
