Hello,
After you have verified your jbconfig and libbrary parameters being
accurate, you can issue nsrjb -HEvv cmd while no Networker activity is
occuring to correct any inconsitancings that may be between lib and
networker.
make sure, match bar code leble etc options on the lib are checked and
during jbconfig also.
Other then that, i am a bit surprised at your approch of using vmware for
bcakup server for folloing concerns.
1. You will need specialized drivers and help from vmware to make FC HBA
work correctly.
2. Even though you may be able to Network VMware NIC's dedicated to backup
server, not sure if this will not become problamatic.
3. You are in a shared enviroment and other server's can affect your
instance or vise versa.( Mem, CPU, HD)
4. What if your other instances require vmware reboot and its during
backup hrs ?
I could understand your motivation to use vmware for its server cloning
P2V type of funtionality and providing high avalibity in case of hardware
failure, but you could probable do just that using P2V on a real server.
Having said that what has been your experiance with issues as above in
mind ?
