You could use DNS round robin. This is not a true load balance though.

You could have your main nic as servernic1 in DNS or local hosts. You
than have nic #2 as servernic2 in DNS or local hosts. Add servernic2 as
an alias name to servernic1 in storage node client configuration on
backup server. 

Than just add servernic1 than servernic2 as storage node definition in
each client you want going through nic1. Switch the order of clients you
want to go through nic2. If one nic fails everything will flow through
the other one.

I searched the archives, and couldn't find anything, and even searched
the wonderful POWERLINK database, but didn't find anything. 

 

Does anyone know of a white paper, or some other document, that would
help in setting up a Networker server with multiple NIC"s to increase
performance. 

 

We already do some storage nodes, with fiber, but we still have a LOT of
servers that go through the Gigabit network, and I would like to improve
performance by using 2 NIC's instead of 1.
