Hello,
During DR i recovered Legato 7.2.1 on Windows 2003, i relied on DNS for
name resolution and matched up all networker settings for IP and name
resolution, however, during reboot after nsr.R was renamed to res,
Networker takes execsively long time ( up to 45 minutes) to restart
services.
Deamon log indicated Networker attempting to do reverse lookup on all
client definations. ( This client machines are not avallable on the
network during DR).
Is there a way to prevent Networker taking this long to restart? any
suggestion, workarounds?
I did NOT Supply Host file as in prodoction Enviroment fully populated
with client ip, i did however had backup server and DNS server in Host
file defined.
Also, i chose not to put Networker in Domain like in production and left
it in workgroup. ( I have tested this and there should not be any issues)
What work arounds, tricks have people mastered outside of Legato DR guide
that could help me ?
