Stop all of your networker services on the server, and delete all of the files 
in the .....\nsr\tmp folder.   After that, reboot your server (if possible), or 
restart the networker services.  

That solved the problem for me.

I was unable to backup my own backup server this morning, and got this
message:



* servername:C:\ Cannot determine status of the backup process.  Use
mminfo to determine job status.

* servername:C:\ 1 retry attempted

* servername:D:\ Cannot determine status of the backup process.  Use
mminfo to determine job status.

* servername:D:\ 1 retry attempted
