Re: [Networker] desktop backup software

I saw that software, but did not connect it to EMC. I do remember them
buying that sometime ago.
The premise of my question, is that if the person wants to backup his
PC, it is up to him. I may make a recommendation, and Retrospect may be
one. My original comment to him remains which is some of what he and
others are storing on his pc likely does not belong there.

Good day List,
The new software that replaces Networker Laptop is called Retropect
which comes from Dantz acquired by EMC.

They did. It was called "NetWorker Laptop" and it was OEM'ed from a
company called "Connected Corp." which has since been acquired by Iron
Mountain. Iron Mountain sells it now.

Is anyone aware of some good desktop backup software that they would
recommend which is cheap or free.
Legato (aka NetWorker) had one at one time, not sure if that was carried
over by EMC, but I thought they had dropped it.
