One reason may be that NetWorker is on;y backing up files that have
changed since the previous
backup. What level backup were you running? If you were running an
incremental then
this might explain it. In other words, even though there is no longer
anything preventing
NetWorker from hitting those files it still will only back them up if it
sees that they're
newer (modtime or file status time) than the previous backup. I suspect
for some of them
that this is not the case.

One thing you could do is to change the file status time on the files
using chown or chmod
and simply reset the owenr or group or permissions to what it already
is. This will not
affect the modtime, but it will change the file status time (ls -c). If
you then re-run your
backups I bet those files will get backed up.

I had to do this before when I wanted to backup a directory that had
been off the backups prior,
and the data was older as in older than the current date.
