Gary,

I do something similar to what Dave Werth describes with daily and
monthly schedules. The daily schedules do the usual full and
incrementals and have a 'skip' override set for the first Friday,
Saturday or Sunday of the month, the monthly schedules skip every day
with a 'full' override for the first Friday, Saturday or Sunday of the
month. e.g.

Full every Friday schedule

Period:
Week

Action:
incr incr incr incr incr full incr

Override:
skip 01/06/06
skip 02/03/06
skip 03/03/06
skip 03/31/06
skip 05/05/06
skip 06/02/06
skip 06/30/06
skip 08/04/06
skip 09/08/06
skip 10/09/06
skip 11/10/06
skip 12/01/06

Monthly Friday schedule

Period:
Month

Action:
skip skip skip skip skip skip skip
skip skip skip skip skip skip skip
skip skip skip skip skip skip skip
skip skip skip

Override:
full 01/09/06
full 02/06/06
full 03/06/06
full 04/03/06
full 05/08/06
full 06/05/06
full 07/03/06
full 08/07/06
full 09/11/06
full 10/12/06
full 11/13/06
full 12/04/06

I have similar schedules for Saturdays and Sundays.

In case anyone is wondering, yes I know NetWorker can cope with 'first
Friday' etc, but the first Friday of a month isn't necessarily the same
weekend as the first Saturday or Sunday, hence my setup.

Best Regards,

Vince
