What?

So, what type of support is there in 7.2.2?
This is very strange statement for them to make since "LTO Ultrium-3" is listed as on option in nwadmin on version 7.2.1.

It is also strange because we all know that NetWorker does not provide drivers for any tape drive, this is left to the operating system. The device type you define has no effect on the performance, reliability, compression capabilities or anything else of your tape drives. You could define your LTO 3 drives as QIC or VHS, or anything else, and they would still work the same, at ANY version of NetWorker, even back to version 4.x and earlier.

Support for tape drives in NetWorker is purely cosmetic - it's just a name.

Support for tape LIBRARIES is a different kettle of seafood since NetWorker does provide the drivers.

EMC Tech Support just told me that it is MANDATORY to upgrade to 7.3.2 for LTO-3 (compression) drive support.
