Don't have access to AS at the mo, but it keeps all that volume information in
a Sybase DB which is fairly easy to figure out. Naturally, take a backup
before doing anything, as starting to delete live volumes can end up in a bit
of a mess if you get it wrong.

You may simply be able to delete these from NetWorker and run an asnw_dbsync
(or nwas_dbsync, I forget).

Cheers,

Stuart.

Yes, part of my plan is to remove volumes from the Networker DB using nsrmm.

However AlphaStor keeps its own internal database (emulating a SmartMedia
jukebox), and the only 'approved' way to remove volumes from there is one at
a time, via its Java GUI. Which is something that will take way too long
for the number of tapes I intend to get rid of (probably about 1200 or so).
Hence my need for a way to automate that somehow.
