[Networker] SQL Server Module for Networker
2006-08-08 18:17:45
Hello Everybody,
I wanted to get some feedback from anyone who is using the SQL Server
module for Networker.
We currently use the Oracle Module on the AIX and Solaris platforms and
are extremely happy with it. We have scripted Oracle database refreshes
for test and development databases using a combination of features offered
by the nsradmin utility and the Oracle module.
The main thing that I am looking for in the SQL Server module is the
ability to script the following functions:
1. Kick off an ad-hoc backup.
2. Kick off a restore session for a database.
3. Restoring databases to a different server.
4. Database recovery features so that we could get the database to a
certain point in time.
I would also like any general impressions about the module that make it a
better choice than other competing backup products.
Thanks in advance,
Lancy
