Hi,

We're planning an upgrade of the operating system on our NetWorker
server from Solaris 9 to Solaris 10. We also will be moving the NW
server to new hardware. My plan is to do both steps at once like this:

- Set up new server running Solaris 10

- Install NW server software

- Unmount /nsr (on a SAN disk) from old NW server running
Solaris 9

- Change hostnames/IP addresses so that the name/IP of the
backup server does not change

- Adjust SAN zones so new server has access to disk

- Adjust SAN zones so new server has access to the tape library

- Mount /nsr onto new NW server running Solaris 10

- Bring up NW and test

The same NetWorker version (v7.2.2) will be used on both servers and
I'll be doing a host transfer for the licenses. Does anyone see any
problems with this procedure? Has anyone done anything similar?

Thanks.

Teresa
