Every time this has happened to me it's been a problem with the tape drive
or bad tapes (except one time when some an engineer created 100 GB of data
on a Friday and it caught both the Saturday morning incremental and the
Sunday full backups). Mostly it's been a tape drive problem so the tapes
are getting marked full before they are physically full. One time when it
was taking 9 tapes for a full backup (on AIT-2) I had 15 tapes available but
the tapes were getting less than 5% filled before they errored out and got
marked full.

By that I mean what the heck happen!?!

I had two full tapes left in my 36 (LTO2) tape library on Friday, I come
in this morning expecting everything to be cool and all of the tapes are
full.

Have we been invaded by aliens?

Does every system I perform a full backup on (weekends are made for full
backups) have a need to join WeightWatchers?

What the heck... (Weeding through backup logs now...)
