NDMP licensing is very expensive, you may be better off,if you can 
configure Storage node or look at Powersnap\*snap module to speed up 
things.
Along with implementing all the other suggestions that privious user 
requested, TCP settings can easily be updated in NIC config properties to 
enhance TCP offload\performance tuning etc, help on the parameters is 
usually embedded in Driver help.
