Hi,
Long-time lurker, first time poster. :) We running Networker 7.2 on Solaris
with 4 PowerLoader AIT libraries. In the last few months, we've started
having problems with tapes losing their labels & association with their
backup group. Here's an example of the errors that show up in the log:
Apr 28 18:56:57 poplar root: [ID 702911 daemon.notice] NetWorker media:
(info) loading volume green.03 into /dev/rmt/0cbn
Apr 28 18:58:47 poplar root: [ID 702911 daemon.notice] NetWorker media:
(info) 8mm AIT-3 tape green.03 will be over-written
Apr 28 18:59:29 poplar root: [ID 702911 daemon.notice] NetWorker media:
(warning) /dev/rmt/0cbn reading: fsr 1 read: Invalid argument
Apr 28 19:00:04 poplar root: [ID 702911 daemon.notice] NetWorker media:
(info) slot `2' (green.03) will not be loaded since pool `Unknown pool' is
not available.
Has anyone else seen this before, and if so, do you have any tips for fixes?
We've just been relabeling the tapes, and that works, I'm just wondering
what's going on here.
Thanks,
John
