We're planning an upgrade to NW v7.2.2 on our server. We have a couple of legacy clients running v6.x of the client (Tru64 and Linux). Because

running v7.2.x server with v6.x clients? Are there any problems?

My NetWorker server runs version 7.2.1 on Solaris 9 with a mix of around 250 clients of various and sundry operating systems. I have not encountered any compatibility issues with older NetWorker clients. Most of the clients in my data zone are also running 7.2.1. I do have a handful of older 6.x clients and one 5.5.1 client. Just out of curiosity, I logged onto the Tru64 Unix server where that 5.5.1 client lives and I tried to recover a directory. The recover process worked fine. A diff between the recovered directory and the original directory showed no differences. This directory was fairly small, just a few MB of flies because that server is nearly out of disk space. In fact, just as i finished doing that test recovery, the person who uses that old server walked into my office and told me he's very close to decommissioning it.
