As far as the server is concerned, it does not have to be auto scheduled by
NetWorker. Just ake sure that you have a savegrp with the NetWorker server
and actually run a savegrp -O -c <server name> <savegrp name>

This will doa bootsrap backup of the Networker server. That's the nsrdb,
media database, and the CFI of the NW server

Running all your savegrp's on the server via control-m is feasable -
wouldn't want to try running all the saves directo from the client,
that's just too much work.

If you do choose to run your savegrp's from an external scheduler you
should remember to have one savegroup with just the backup server itself
in it, and have this auto-scheduled by legato still, otherwise every
single savegrp invocation will do a bootstrap backup as well.

If you run /usr/sbin/savegrp then it will hang until the job is
finished, and if control-m wants to cancel the run it can just kill
savegrp... The other option is to use script to touch the 'run now'
field in the group record. This lets you still stop the job via the
legato GUI if you want, but makes monitoring the process more
complicated with control-m.
