[Networker] Networker 7.3 recovers old files during browse recover
2006-04-05 02:45:06
Greets.
I've got an odd thing going on with a recovery I'm doing where old files are
recovered instead of
the current file. The example below talks about the /etc directory which is
part of the / saveset of
my RHEL4u3 box. I'm running 7.3 client and server.
In the recover shell I can add the entire /etc/ directory for recovery like so:
[root@dotbak tmp]# recover -c imap -s dotbak
recover: Current working directory is /var/tmp/
recover> relocate /var/tmp
recover> add -q /etc
2245 file(s) marked for recovery
When I use the versions command I can see the most recent Apr 3 backup of
/etc/hosts is
selected, which has a file date of March 25th. (Output below) Note the + sign
by the file name, this
is the file I expect to end up on disk. However, after running 'recover' I end
up with the Feb 18th
version of this file, not the March 25th version. Not only does the recovered
file date confirm this,
but the contents of the file do not reflect the changes I expect to see in the
March 25th version.
If instead of doing "add -q /etc/" I do "add -q /etc/hosts" then Networker does
correctly recover
the April 3rd version of /etc/hosts!
Any help on this? Anyone seen similar?
