Hello,
In out enviroment
One Master Legato server FC attached to ADIC i2k-Dell-PE6850-64 bit W3K.
One storage node server, windows 2003-32 bit-ML-530.
MS has entire tape lib with 8 drives and robot.
Storage node has only first two drives zoned via FC switch.
I cannot get the two drives to work on SN server, after talking and
troubleshooting extensively, i have ruled out, FC switches, ports, gbic and
cables.
Currently working on the theory that Master server is holding on to the
deivices and not letting it go, subsiquently, SN failes to gain access to
the two tape drives.
has any one seen this, what is the resolution, do you have SN on Windows
configured in similar enviroment, what is your exp, i have persistant
binding enabled on the SN and MS, SN sees the devices in Device manager and
drivers are loaded but it wont work.
The only error that i am workint with is
device reservation conflicts.
I have plan to open a case with MS to see if they have a fix.
