According to the log you provided you are on 7.2 or 7.2.1 that
implements NDMP  backups to non NDMP devices (DSA backups).
Some of the recover code is broken at least on 7.2.1 and there are some
fixes available.
You should call Legato support, describe your situation and get the
patches.
I have been told that those patches are mandatory!
